GACC/CIFER Registration
Every company exporting food products to China must be registered in the GACC/CIFER system (海关总署进口食品境外生产企业注册管理系统) — China’s official portal for foreign food production enterprise registration.
What we handle:
- Complete GACC/CIFER application preparation and submission
- Company information compilation in the required Chinese format
- Product category registration (species, processing methods)
- Communication with GACC authorities throughout the process
- Follow-up until registration confirmation and 18-digit registration code is issued
Why this matters: Without valid GACC registration, your products cannot clear Chinese customs. The application portal is entirely in Chinese, and errors or omissions cause significant delays. We ensure your application is complete, correct, and submitted properly the first time.
Compliance Management
GACC registration is not a one-time event. Regulations change, registrations need maintenance, and new product categories require additional approvals.
What we handle:
- Regulatory monitoring — continuous tracking of GACC regulatory updates, policy changes, and new requirements affecting your exports
- Registration maintenance — keeping your registration current, responding to GACC queries, updating company or product information
- Renewal management — tracking renewal deadlines and handling the renewal process before expiry
- Change notifications — proactive alerts when regulatory changes affect your specific products or markets
- Compliance reporting — regular status reports on your registration, any regulatory developments, and required actions
How it works: Monthly retainer service. You receive regular updates and have a dedicated point of contact for all China compliance questions. When something changes, you hear about it from us — not from a rejected shipment at the border.
Market Access Support
Beyond registration and compliance, entering or expanding in the Chinese seafood market requires understanding the regulatory landscape, market dynamics, and business environment.
What we offer:
- Market research — analysis of Chinese import requirements for specific seafood products, tariff structures, and market trends
- New species approvals — guidance on the regulatory process for registering new product categories for export to China
- Regulatory intelligence — monitoring Chinese food safety standards, labelling requirements, and import policy developments
- Strategic advisory — practical guidance on market entry timing, regulatory risks, and compliance planning
Who this is for: Companies considering China as a new market, expanding their product range to China, or needing deeper insight into Chinese regulatory and market developments.
